A World in Common exhibition and Wine Tasting With Banele Vakele

Join us for an evening with winemaker Banele Vakele

To celebrate A World in Common exhibition at Tate Modern, we have teamed up with South African wine maker Banele Vakele to blend a Chenin Blanc and Syrah to pour for the duration of the show.

Banele produces wines under his label ‘Tembela’ – named after his late mother, which translates from isiXhosa as ‘faith’, ‘hope’, and ‘belief’ and working with organic vineyards fashions tiny quantities of brilliant, highly sought after wine. He has made just over a thousand bottles of these bespoke blends, and we are delighted to welcome him to Tate Modern for the evening.

Banele will talk about the wines, and you will be able to enjoy both the white and the red whilst also visiting the exhibition after hours.

You will also be one of the first to visit our new bar The Corner and enjoy 50% of food, and 20% off Banele’s wine for the rest of the evening.

The wines will be available to purchase online, in-store, or by the glass at Tate Modern’s restaurants and bars.
